libarmadillo-dev software package provides streamlined C++ linear algebra library - Headers, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libarmadillo-dev
libarmadillo-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libarmadillo-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libarmadillo-dev *
You will get with libarmadillo-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
